Apple’s new I-Pad, the latest nth megapixel HD digital camera, the most advanced video MP3 player, the newest HD DVD player, the most expensive netbook… the list goes on and on. In this time of recession, can you really withdraw $400 just so you can get those new gadgets What have you been drooling over? It’s no secret that when a new device is announced, hundreds can’t seem to contain the excitement of getting the new product. Others even go to great lengths to camp out of the tent just to get the first few dibs. However, economists argue that collecting these new gadgets is just a sign of superficiality and waste. What’s released in stores today may be outdated in months. What consumers are buying is not the quality of the product, but its image.

However these new gadgets provide the latest technologies never before imagined. They are fun and, in the same way, they make our lives more comfortable by improving it. On the one hand, new devices such as small netbooks provide Internet connectivity that has more battery hours than ever before. Laptops used to only have 2 hours of battery life, but now, to meet today’s need for long battery life and hours of browsing, several computer companies have responded to this need. Another new device that brings a lot of convenience is Apple’s new iPad, which works as a tablet and mini netbook in one and works with a touch screen keyboard. The Ipad is small and very light, which can make browsing and reading very convenient even when you are in transit or in limited space.

Although in these difficult economic times, people say that these new devices that seem to appear on the market month after month define the taste of the user, but the truth is that these new devices respond to the need of consumers. A good example of this is the wonderful HD camera housed inside the slim body of the new Apple IPhone4. With this new development, there is no need for a person to carry a bulky HD video camera, you just need to take out an iPhone 4, and you can shoot HD quality video on your own. With the advent of these new types of feature integration in upcoming new devices, expect more enhancements and technological advances that will bring more excitement and entertainment to consumers’ lives.
