Five Interesting Facts About Buffalo Bills Legend Jim Kelly

Jim Kelly is definitely one of the best quarterbacks of all time in the NFL. He helped lead the Buffalo Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls in the early 1990s, and while the team won none of them, that achievement alone is worthy of great recognition.

Kelly was a fan favorite in Buffalo, and for good reason. Here’s a look at five cool facts about this great NFL quarterback and a true Buffalo Bills legend.

# 1 – 3,000-yard seasons, not a problem

Jim Kelly was able to rack up eight 3,000-yard passing seasons during his career at Buffalo. The other five were performed by Joe Ferguson (twice), Doug Flutie, Drew Bledsoe, and JP Losman.

# 2 – Bring the Jets!

The New York Jets allowed 33 touchdown passes to Jim Kelly during his career. This is more than he pitched against any other team in the league.

# 3 – Hey Andre, dig deep!

# 4 – Double Hall of Fame

Jim Kelly was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 2002. He had also previously been inducted into the University of Miami Hall of Fame in 1992.

# 5 – Getting it going before the middle

Kelly threw more touchdown passes in the second quarter of the games he played, a total of 74, than in any other quarter.
