Free Wi-Fi access throughout New York City

Can you all imagine how fast the world is evolving right now? If we compare the situation of society a decade ago, we can say that it is a great leap for everyone. Many thanks to the brilliant people with amazing ideas and technological upgrades.

What continues to evolve right now is the digital world that served almost half of the population’s needs in terms of research and communication. Computers, mobile phones, machines and other electronic devices have been upgraded to their new level that brings convenience to people, not to mention wireless internet connections.

Most of the people cannot live without it because it becomes their source of communication with their loved ones who live far away from them. Researchers see the convenience of searching the Internet for data while also sharing their own. Keeping people up to date on news and trends is one of the purposes for which technology and the Internet exist.

Now, with this kind of situation, IT companies have thought of making it more accessible for everyone, especially the people of New York. Wired Wi-Fi in New York made everything possible and easier for the community, especially tourists and OFWs who want to communicate with their family back home. It’s the city’s idea to dethrone reigning camps Seoul, Tokyo and Geneva for the title of ‘world’s most connected city’ when it comes to accessible, high-speed internet.

Related to that, the city has signed a $200 million deal to replace aging pay phone points with futuristic, high-tech kiosks at no cost to New York residents and taxpayers. FREE WIFI, how cool is that?

These kiosks installed by the LinkNYC program transmit a connection 100 times faster than municipal Wi-Fi cables. It can be used for video conferencing, free national calls, and easy Internet searches, accessible by anyone who wants to use it. The kiosk covers a 150 foot radius at speeds up to one gigabit per second. It’s amazing how technology made all of this work.

Not only that, because LinkNYC has partnered with transit wireless to bring free internet to riders throughout the high-traffic subway.

With all these technological changes, we give credit to those who devised structured fiber optic cabling that makes that system work at its proper pace. Nowadays, different companies offer installation of structured cabling for data and voice systems that allow a faster Internet connection and avoid distractions due to system problems.

The team that will install the wifi connection that may come from different companies may have different approaches when doing the job. Therefore, it is always best to find the right group of people to do the job, the ones who are properly trained and who know what they are doing.

Plus, who wouldn’t want unlimited WIFI access throughout the city? I’m pretty sure NYC is excited about this.

Everyone is looking forward to the WIFI wiring upgrade, not only in the city, but also in all other countries of course.
