Operation Highjump – Long-distance Nazi UFOs in Antarctica

Operation Highjump was a United States Navy campaign conducted in Antarctica between 1946 and 1947, it was the largest effort on the southernmost continent to this day. The mission was, and remains to this day, the largest Antarctic voyage ever undertaken. It was carried out by the discoverer of the Arctic, Rear Admiral Richard Byrd, and involved 13 vessels, 23 aircraft and together with a military force of 4,700 men. The mission was believed to be to extensively photograph, map, and explore the frozen continent of Antarctica, before any other force did.

The mission was classified in nature and was primarily a military exercise with military personnel. However, it also involved scientific organizations comprising the US IGY National Committee and the respected National Program, which was immediately more concerned with mapping Antarctica to record US land claims in perspective. The original codename assigned by the Navy to the Antarctic mission was Project Longhaul, which expresses the long logistics channel between the United States and Antarctica, although it was later changed to the now-recognized codename of Operation Highjump.

The mission objectives were for the dozen ships and several thousand men to sail to the Antarctic edge to train workers and test materials in the icy regions and also to strengthen and develop US jurisdiction over the most viable region of the continent. Antarctic. Additionally, they were to determine the feasibility of establishing and supplying bases in Antarctica and exploring possible base sites along with the need to advance methods for founding and caring for air bases in the ice.

Although it was not expressly stated in the commands of August 26, 1946, one of the main objectives of the project was the aerial mapping of as much of Antarctica as possible, especially along the coast. Conspiracy theorists who specialize in alleged Aryan or Nazi occupations in Antarctica have widely contemplated this mission. Rumors began to spread that despite Germany having been overthrown, a variety of military personnel and scientists had escaped their homeland when Allied troops traversed continental Europe and settled on a base in Antarctica from where they continued to build. Progressive planes based on so-called extraterrestrial or alien technologies. This base was apparently located in Neuschwabenland, a region of Antarctica that Germany investigated and claimed before the outbreak of WWII.

As inconceivable as it may seem, there is substantial evidence to back up these claims on a German base in Antarctica. On the eve of World War II, the Germans themselves had entered part of Antarctica and claimed it for the Third Reich. Historical events also provide further suggestions as to a German-Antarctic partnership, as it documents that Hans-Ulrich Rudel of the German Luftwaffe was being groomed by Hitler to be his heir apparent. It is recognized that Rudel made numerous trips to Tierra del Fuego on the edge of South America closest to Antarctica.

In reality, Germany had completed an extremely thorough study of Antarctica and was believed to have built a small secret base there before the war. The truth is that there was a great deal of evidence, at the time, to point out that in 1947, parts of the Kriegsmarine, or the German Navy, were largely operating in the South Atlantic, operating from South America or some previously unregistered base in the antartida. One piece of evidence identified was that of a German submarine that detained an Icelandic whaler titled ‘Juliana’ in Antarctic waters and demanded that its captain, known as Hekla, exchange the submarine’s crew’s supplies from their available provisions.

Some theorists believe that the Germans were, in fact, developing UFO technology in underground ice caverns for which there is information to suggest that this may not be a leap of faith. One of the many documented accounts of sightings of unidentified flying objects over Antarctica was that of Rubens Junqueira Villela, a meteorologist who was the leading Brazilian scientist who participated in a trip to the South Pole area and, today, a veteran of 11 expeditions to Antarctica. While aboard the glacier of the US Navy ice ship, which had set sail from New Zealand towards the end of January 1961, Villella claims that he observed a UFO in the skies over Antarctica that he instantly noted on his diary, even details that include feelings. felt by everyone involved.

It is no secret that the German Nazi movement kept the technology progressive enough to create a craft that resembled a UFO in shape and size, there are many recorded accounts of sightings and images of these German UFOs. Although, to say that they had the agility and speed of a true UFO would be misleading given, they could not stay in the air for an extended period and were known for their unpredictability in terms of navigation and general handling.

Operation Highjump has become a hot topic among UFO conspiracy theorists in recent years, who claim it was a secret US military campaign by spacecraft. A dark Hitler narrative tells that Adolf Hitler did not commit suicide in 1945, but nevertheless escaped to Argentina and then to an SS base under the ice in New Swabia in the early 1950s, where he restarted his career as a painter. Based on this description, it is claimed that Operation Highjump, the largest voyage ever undertaken to Antarctica, was sent to wipe out the Nazi occupation there.

However, the greatest achievement of Operation Highjump was obtaining approximately 70,000 aerial photographs of the Antarctic coastline and selected coastal regions. Initially geared up for an 8-month undertaking, Operation Highjump abruptly returned to the United States just 16 weeks after exploring Antarctica, with no justification for the hasty return. While there is no definitive evidence yet for a German UFO base in Antarctica, there is no doubt that something extremely strange was happening on or near the ice-covered continent.
