A teleprompter is nothing more than a device that is used to display the words on the monitor or television screen in front of a camera. The audience listening to the news will have the feeling that the newsreader is delivering the news directly from their memory. But in reality the reader will see the display screen or monitor on which the words that he is going to read are clearly shown. Today, teleprompter software applications are used in many organizations and business associations to deliver quality speech and create quality audio. It can be used conveniently on a laptop or desktop computer, making it easy for the speaker to control the flow and speed of delivery of words. Personal Teleprompters are used in schools and other educational institutions to deliver pre-written speeches. The speaker will now be able to adjust the monitor to either slow it down or speed it up based on the speed of speech delivery.
It is not necessary for the speaker to look directly into the camera to read the monitor. Sometimes during interviews with movie stars and big names, the camera crew fixes the monitor below where you’re sitting so you can check the monitor while giving your answers. This service cannot be used when conducting live interviews.
Apart from TV channels, this service is widely used by politicians during electric speeches they give on tour. They usually fix the device where they are standing in the car or vehicle and the person reading the message can control and navigate up and down the monitor to repeat the message.
