4 tips that would prevent you from compromising the quality of the animated explainer video

Animated explainer videos are extremely effective at getting your message across in an understandable way. However, the real challenge lies in making sure the quality of your explainer video is perfect. Here are four insightful tips that could keep you from producing a low-quality animated explainer video.

1. Finalize your script before the animation process begins.

In the process of video production, the animation is done on the basis of the script. Once the animation is complete and the final video is produced, altering the script would only deteriorate the quality of the video. This is because the animation would consequently also have to be modified, requiring that part to be made from scratch. The modified part can appear as a patch and break the flow of the video, thus reducing its overall quality. Therefore, it is important to finalize the script before submitting it for animation.

2. Specify the smallest of details, from the beginning

Even a thoroughly out-of-sync video could confuse viewers and make them feel annoyed by the poor quality. Therefore, it is better to animate the video based on the final voiceover rather than a dummy voiceover.

4. Finish step by step

Typically, the video production process involves the following steps in the given sequential order:

  • Storyboard Creation

  • Voiceover recording

  • Animation

  • Delivery

Since the video is built gradually, based on the output of the previous step, going back to a previous step during the production process should be avoided. Since it is extremely important to have a perfect synchronization between the script (voice over) and the animation, any alteration in these elements often interrupts the flow of the message, making it ambiguous.
