Devil May Cry 3 Review

Developed by Capcom, which is famous for titles like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and my personal favorite Megaman. The first Devil May Cry was released in 2001 and since then it has earned a great reputation as the bloodthirsty demon slaying game with death defying swords and guns.

Now that the third in the DMC series has come out, the game has had time to adjust and ways have been found to remove the annoying bits, for example, the camera angle has been corrected, a wider selection of moves has been included, and Your demon slaying arsenal has been improved. Unlike the second DMC, this game was a huge hit as you only have one character and the amazing story has been told since before the beginning, that’s right, this game is the prequel to all of them, but it’s also the best ever.

At first you see the infamous Dante sitting in his chair eating pizza when he’s visited by a bald guy delivering a message from Dante’s brother Vergil, next thing you know Dante’s demon attack and he starts kicking some serious butt in one scene cut. Before I let you try. If you didn’t already know that Dante is a half demon half human person, at first he looks like an ordinary guy, but when you see him fight, he’s not so ordinary anymore. About halfway through the game, you will see Dante turn into a demon for a short time and also use this ability in battle.

The battles in the game are practically non-stop, as just when you think you’re getting bored, another weapon is handed to you and you can unleash another devastating combo. The story is pretty amazing too, what could be better than Dante wanting to stop his evil twin brother Vergil from opening the gate to the demon world and absorbing his parents’ demonic powers?

Overall Boydies Score – 10/10
