DIY cabinet door painting is the easiest part of painting kitchen cabinets. Most of the people want to have white cabinets. The nice thing about painting the cabinet doors is that you can remove the doors entirely from the cabinets and you can also remove all the hardware from the cabinet doors. Now you can make any repair you want to the doors, such as dents, scratches or nicks.

And the beauty of it is that you can do this on a bench or a couple of sawhorses, where you can use a palm sander or some type of sander to sand the door down to a flat position. This is a much easier position than sanding something upright.

Knobs and hinges need to be considered very carefully because they are the elements that are going to make or break your doors.

Painting cabinets can be done in both types of cabinets that are laminated with plastic or laminated or solid wood doors. If the solid wood doors are in good condition and the laminated doors are also in good condition, the painting procedure is practically the same.
