Mating
The age a female must be before giving birth is at least four to six months.

How you can tell that a male is excited is when he lowers his head and walks towards the female. This is not a random walk, but one to entice the woman to join your dance of love.
The guinea pigs will make a thud. This is a very specific noise and don’t be alarmed if you hear it. The rear of the male will also sway from side to side occasionally.
Some male guinea pigs will even perform a mating dance. In this case, they will place their front legs on any available object and will move trying to attract the female. These movements can include shaking, rocking, and wiggling from side to side.
This can be a very entertaining sight to watch, however this is actually a finely tuned process that has evolved over hundreds of years to produce the best possible results for the species. So if you feel the need to laugh, maybe it’s polite to leave the room.
When a female is interested in the male, she will start screaming with great excitement and anxiety. These screeches will get louder as the male approaches her.
Sometimes the female guinea pig will not be interested. This may be because you are not currently in heat or it may not be the right time in your cycle. What she will do if this is the case is attack the male or even bite him. If he is very persistent, she may even urinate on his face to discourage him.

If a female guinea pig is actually being overtaken, she may back off against the male. This is a sign for him to ride. This is a very common event, so don’t be nervous if she appears to be behaving in a way that you have never seen her behave. Don’t worry, guinea pigs know what they are doing.
A male guinea pig can be used as a stud. In fact, a male guinea pig can mate with up to ten females in a period of time if all are available to him in the guinea pig race. But I really don’t think you need that many guinea pigs.
