How do leaders know when they are right?

How can we expect someone to be an effective leader, unless/until they have genuine self-confidence and are able to know when their decisions, reasoning, and rationale? and the reasons are GOOD? Prompt; time tested; TRUE; trustworthy / trustworthy: When one has the self-confidence, to proceed, in a well-considered, timely manner, leverages time-tested principles and ideas, and consistently tells the truth, everyone benefits! When you are trustworthy, your ability to earn the trust of those you serve and represent is greatly enhanced.
