The patent landscape is a complete analysis of the extracted data related to a particular technological domain. This data includes the past and present status of that technology in the relevant market, its future prospects, associated intellectual property information, competitive intelligence, and technology transfer. Patent landscaping must be done properly for best results.

1. Determination and interpretation of the client’s objective or purpose

– Background study on the client’s object or purpose.

– Identification of the technological aspect behind the client’s object or purpose.
