Harley Davidson Posters Are Fun!
The latest poster for “Hawkeye” by James Patterson is going to be in the theaters soon. In anticipation of the film’s release, I have been collecting posters of “Hawkeye” for many years now. I have several collections including the original art featuring Bill Gunn as Hawkeye and several reprints from various artists. I’m going to focus on my favorite artwork from the collection which has been my choice for close to thirty years.
This particular Harley Davidson poster looks like it was created specifically for Marvel’s “Avengers” series. The background is that of Chicago, Illinois. It features an explosion at a race track which is accompanied by debris falling from the upper levels of the building. Two figures are running from the site with debris in their path. One of them is carrying what appears to be a replica of a weapon and the other is firing at a target on the far side of the screen.
The design of this poster is in a style that is reminiscent of a character from the “True Grit” movie. The background is a nice and bright red color and the poster features a bronzed figure dressed in black and carrying what appears to be a bow and arrow. The top of the image has two bars with a target on the top in blue and red. Sitting on either side of the image are two small guns with some type of writing on them. One of the guns has the words “MOOSE” spelled out on it.

My favorite Harley Davidson images feature the rock star in a very interesting pose. He is wearing a faded blue and white t-shirt, has his left ear bent forward as if he is listening to some kind of music and has his right hand hanging down. His left hand is also adorned with the target sign mentioned above. The image looks like it was done with pencil and charcoal and it looks very cool. I especially love how he is doing the “MOose” phrase.
In addition to these two posters you will find many other awesome images at the site. You can find several different versions of the same image that show the different colors that Harley Davidson has come out with over the years. Some of the more popular Harley riders include former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland, Motley Crew member Kieda and actor Jeff Bridges. Not only are the posters great and really funny, they are also quite inspiring. Especially for people who are hardcore bikers and hardcore fans of Harley Davidson.
