street scooters that save gas

I am selling my Chevy truck and I drive my Harley Davidson Fatboy to and from work after all it gets over 40 mpg. Of course, saving gas is not the only reason I use my Fatboy scooter on the streets, I also love to ride my bike.

With gas prices hovering around $4 a gallon, I thought it would help the pocketbook a bit to travel more. I’m seeing a lot more smaller street bikers and scooters now that gas economy is becoming more important. Smaller street scooters used to be only for those who were too young to drive a “real” vehicle or those who had lost their driver’s license for one reason or another. Not anymore, we find many people switching to street scooters due to their ability to save on high gas prices.

Gas-saving street scooters are flying off the shelves as people of all ages realize the gas savings they can make by riding them. More and more men and women are now running their errands on an easy-to-drive street scooter. One of the main differences between a motorcycle and a street scooter is the ability to shift. A motorcycle like my Fatboy has a standard transmission, while street scooters have an automatic transmission. In other words, hit the gas and go. So easy that anyone can assemble one.

Perhaps two of the most popular sizes of street scooters are the 50cc and 80cc models, which can average between 75 and 100 miles per gallon. These smaller models are great for small rides and very reliable. Larger models ranging from 150cc to 250cc are also available if you want to travel longer distances on your gas-efficient street scooter.

It just makes sense to check out the gas savings you can get from buying a street scooter. Whether that scooter is a Honda, Yamaha, Vespa, or another street scooter, it can go a long way for a couple of dollars worth of gas.
