Trade Show Exhibit Types Comparison

Pop-up screens

Pop-up displays are the most popular trade show displays due to their light weight, small size when packaged, and ease of installation. Today, there are literally dozens of brands on the market. Some are more durable and therefore more expensive than others. We sell several different models: from the most durable, most expensive to the least expensive, most economical.

Standard grade popup – Includes a lighter aluminum frame, individual channel bars, velcro fabric panels (Frontrunner or Prelude) and thermoformed shipping case with wheels. Other options available: various sizes available.

Commercial grade pop-up – Includes a heavyweight frame with nylon connectors, collapsible steel channel bars, velcro panels (Frontrunner or Prelude), and a choice of 1 or 2 thermoformed shipping cases with wheels. Other options available: various sizes available.

Photo Mural Grade Popup – A standard grade pop-up window with the replacement of wall murals in place of the velcro fabric panels and includes everything in the standard grade pop-up. We use only durst lambda photographic film production techniques combined with HDL’s lifetime lamination guarantee.

Cloth mural grade pop-up window – A heavyweight non-curved pop-up frame with a replaceable cloth graphic wall. The fabric mural is pre-installed on the frame, which makes installation easy. This screen offers a complete mural effect without a complicated setup procedure. Carries in included lightweight nylon bag, hard shipping case, and available lights.

Pop-up wall frame – This is not a true pop-up window as it includes an easy to mount rectangular post frame. The large format graphic is simply attached with velcro along the edges, allowing for easy setup. It is the most economical means of achieving a full 10 ‘wall mural effect.

Panel displays

Panel displays represent the oldest type of display. We sell two types, Folding and Modular. They consist of high-density corrugated panels covered with fabric or laminates, coupled together by means of a hinge or extrusion between panels. Vertical pins allow panels to be stacked in groups on top of each other.

Folding panel displays – This inexpensive folding panel system, while not as easy to transport as a pop-up screen, allows for greater load capacity. Built-in counter sets and backlit headers give this type of display more utility. The multiple colors on both sides, as well as the accent colors, make it an attractive display option. Details
Modular Panel Displays – This more expensive panel system allows the use of laminates, backlights, soft boxes, and much more complex shapes, including curves, laminated curves, Plexiglass windows, product niches, etc. While it is the most expensive and most difficult option to transport, it represents the most sophisticated type of display. Our modular systems can be shipped via UPS and are by far the easiest to configure.

Banderole displays

Banner stands are an inexpensive means of displaying large-format graphics using an “easy-to-carry” medium. There are two types of sign holders: roll-up (manual setting) and retractable (automatic). The roll-up stand consists of a base, a pole, and a graphic that the user assembles prior to display. The retractable banner stand has a spring loaded cassette that sits on the floor and is assembled by pulling the graphic vertically out of the cassette and attaching it to the pole.

Roll up banners – Economic and easy to transport graphic system. Simply unroll the graphic, attach the base and post to the aluminum extrusions at the top and bottom of the graphic, and you’re ready to display.

Retractable banners – A little more expensive but just as easy to transport, this system protects the graphic inside an aluminum base. Simply pull the spring loaded graphic to the desired height and position the post.
