Twilight Halloween Party Ideas

This evening on October 31, why not throw a Twilight Halloween party? Ideas are so easy to come up with because Halloween and Twilight party ideas are perfect together…just like Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. (Do you know another word for “Sunset”?)

Come this October, with everyone waiting for the release of the sequel to the Twilight Saga, New Moon… this is going to be a very popular Halloween party theme! There are so many great party ideas in Stephanie Meyer’s Book Saga for you to incorporate into your celebration…for anything. This human-vampire romance movie and book sensation has created a whole new genre of party theme. Characters have become Halloween costumes, foods in books and movies have become popular…everything about Twilight, from the cast to the characters and from A to Z, has captivated unsuspecting tweens. and teenagers. A twilight storm.

I’m sure by now most tweens and teens have read at least the first of this four-book series. And if they haven’t, I’m sure the Halloween Twilight Party Invitation you make and send to them will pique their interest in doing just that. They’ll have to read the books to find a suitable costume for the costume party you’re planning. Be sure to write on the guests that this is a costume gathering…this way most of your guests will dress as Cullen, Volturi, Forks, or Quileute. Maybe you even have a Cullen car costume or two! Be sure to have a costume contest, with prizes for the cleverest costume, the best costume, and the silliest costume. Give the winners a Jelly Apple or a Golden Onion!

If someone asks you for a costume idea, you can tell them that any of the Cullens, Bella, the Volturi, the Quileutes, the werewolves, and just the common folk of Forks are all perfect costume ideas. Eric, Mike, Jessica, and Angela went surfing in the movie, so give someone an idea for a wetsuit and a surfboard. The more extravagant a costume is, the more fun and imaginative it is. Have fun with this great party theme… you have plenty of material in all four books and the movie to use.

Bella’s Apple Party Favor Idea

You can find inexpensive Twilight markers to use as party favors or give each of your party guests a red jello, they are easy to make and are the perfect fruit to use as the focal point of your party.

twilight party decorations

If you can, get a Vampire cardboard stand-up decoration from James, Laurent or Victoria and hide it in a place where you can “scare” your guests. Somewhere they will go, but they won’t expect it to be a nomadic, bloodthirsty vampire. You can also take photos of everyone with the vicious bloodsuckers. Twinkling lights and Twilight books are all you need to decorate. You can use white, red and black party supplies, you know plates, napkins and cups to set up a buffet table. Put some photos of the Cullen Clan around the room to give it a homey feel…a vampire home. Place magazines with pictures of the movie cast on the tables to create a little more atmosphere.

Since it’s Halloween, I’d also use some of the usual decorating tricks, like some spider webs, bats, witch fingers, and eyeball snacks. Of course, some jello hands and there’s always the platter of skeletal vegetables with gravy for some bloody but tasty treats!

Halloween and Twilight Party Game Ideas

My favorite game is Twilight trivia. Let’s see who knows more than me…I mean you…about this Vampire Romance by Stephanie Meyer. It’s fun to play and it’s also fun to make up the questions. Get your best friend, who I’m sure is a little Twilight Crazy too, to help you out. You can also take those same questions and answers and turn this little trivia game into a Jeopardy game. Make sure to save the really hard questions for the daily doubles!

Bingo, Quote the Cullen or Name that Tune… using nothing less than songs from the film’s soundtrack. I can name that melody in three notes… How about a fun game of charades using the names of the songs on the soundtrack or the characters in the books?

Put on some music and be sure to include Stephanie Meyer’s favorite group Muse along with Paramore, Linkin Park and of course Rob Pattinson in the mix. For lovers of classical music, there is always Debussy, one of Edward’s favourites.

party food ideas

I love having parties, but I don’t want to work too much in the kitchen…so I order a lot of pizzas…of different types. Be sure to include a mushroom pizza in the mix. A blood red frosting on your cupcakes or making the cute, yet easy to decorate, vampire cupcakes is always a good idea at a vampire themed party. If you’re not using the Jelly Apples for a party favor, put some on the dessert table for those vegetarian vampires who are in the mood for something red to curb their bloodlust. I even saw little pictures of edible cupcakes that you can print with the cast of Twilight or just Bella and Edward. That’s a great idea, isn’t it?

Serve a blood red punch with an ice cream float on top and you have the perfect drink for this party. Use sparkly ice cubes for a weird effect or freeze water in rubber gloves (tell everyone in case you’re allergic to latex) and let the frozen hands scare your guests. I love doing stuff like this! It’s little details like this that your guests will remember and will make your party extra special!

We see vampires in a new, less cruel light thanks to Stephanie Meyer and the Cullen Veggie Clan, but it’s Halloween and what’s a Halloween party without at least one Count Dracula? Not everyone will come in a native Cullen or Forks costume, but it’s still going to be a fun party, no matter how your guests dress.

If you have the DVD of the movie, you can play it in the background for music and for the viewing pleasure of your guests. This is a great party theme no matter if it’s for a holiday, a movie, or a birthday party. Everyone will be sure to join in on the fun games and yummy food you’ve prepared for them and be sure to tell everyone… Happy Halloween from Edward and Bella!
