Two workout programs to consider to help make getting fit a little more fun

Jumping into a fitness routine is easy enough, the hard part is sticking with it. They say if you can stick to something for 30 days it will become a habit and this goes for exercise too but what if you have a hard time exercising regularly for 30 days?

The problem could be in the type of training you are doing. There are thousands of different workouts and exercise combinations that you could be doing, but you may not have found one that you really enjoy that much.

Here are two complete exercise programs that you may want to incorporate into your fitness program at some point. They are very different, but also similar in many ways. Also, it goes without saying that they are effective, it just comes down to whether you will be able to enjoy these workouts.

Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shredded

Most are familiar with Jillian Michaels because she is one of the trainers on the reality TV show. the biggest loser. Clearly this woman knows what she’s doing and she shows it to you in her 30 Day Shred video. This program consists of a DVD that presents 3 different training levels that she can work on. 30 Day Shred features compound movements to help you get a full workout in about 20 minutes.

You don’t need any equipment if you’re a beginner, but it would help to have a set of dumbbells nearby. Jillian keeps you moving for the entire duration of 20 minutes, but she changes it up with different moves so you don’t get bored.

Gaiam Step 360 Program

Step 360 is a relatively new fitness program that is now available. The Step 360 apparatus is basically a mini trampoline on which you can perform exercises. The program comes with two different DVDs that contain several different workouts to target various muscle groups and body parts.

The best part of the Step 360 is that you don’t have to follow the DVDs if you don’t like to. The equipment can be used to do just about any exercise you can think of, including lunges, squats, presses, and rows. Because the surface is somewhat unstable, your core will be constantly working to keep your body balanced.
