What makes a good children’s story?

What is the story of a good boy? Good question, especially when looking for birthday gifts or Christmas gifts for children who like to read or who enjoy children’s audio books.

There are three things people might want to know.

First, what are the names of some good children’s books, so a book can be bought as a birthday present, Christmas present, etc., one that is likely to be liked? This is at the forefront for most people, when they ask the question.

Second, how to choose the right book.

Finally, what makes something a good children’s story? What are some of the ingredients?

I’ll start with: what are some good children’s stories that are sure to please?

The answer: talk to the child, maybe talk to the parents. Ask for. Find out what the child likes and give him something similar.

I could name 50 children’s story titles, but each one is likely to please some children and thrill others. Also, if the person is a reader, you have to find out: has she read it?

Therefore, there are no specific book names.

Instead, does he or she love fantasy books, historical fiction? Are they expanded in a series?

And now for the more general question, what are some of the ingredients of great children’s stories?

First, there is whoever is in the center. Harry in Harry Potter. Alice in Alice in Wonderland. The horse in Black Beauty. The dog in Call of the Wild. For starters, the story of a good kid has someone to support and often identify with. Someone we care about. Someone we can imagine is us, or a best friend.

There is nothing boring in the story of a good boy. Whether it’s The House in the Great Woods or The Wizard of Oz or The Tales of Narnia, adventures always happen in a good children’s story. They don’t have to be big adventures. But it is something that matters. Will Clara learn to walk again? Will Dot and Bill become friends? Will the evil wizard destroy the world?

Many of the books are also friendship stories, like with Harry Potter and his friends, each one different.

There is often a mystery to be solved.

And often there is something mysterious. Alien ogres from space. The wardrobe that opens to Narnia.

Are ghosts real? Do strange creatures live deep in the forest and come to life only at night?

So many feelings are stirred. Anne of Green Gables: The outsider who starts out without a real family and without a friend. Harry Potter – The outcast who starts out in the cupboard under the stairs. We feel together with them: his pain, his shyness, his pain, his anger, his hope and longing, his love.

The characters often experience difficult things that many children are going through. Bullying. Friends being mean. Parents fighting and divorcing.

Sometimes there are magical abilities as well as magical creatures. Magical abilities are often unexpected. Magical creatures, often adults, seem totally unaware.

Whether it’s printed children’s stories or audio books for children, the ingredients are the same. Especially, characters that take us to worlds where important things happen, even if they are small things for people outside.

For some children, there is also something else. issues. Some books are about the questions children ask themselves. That is real? There are ghosts? Is there any god? Is there magic? What do you do when someone you know is doing something you know is wrong?

What makes a great children’s story? It’s often something that many adults enjoy too, just think of Alice in Wonderland and the Harry Potter books.

The world is often a bit simpler than in adult books, but all the emotions are there, often even more urgently. There are also all the plots, from the quest story (destroy evil) to the quest for love (finding true love), even the quest within.

But how do you get the best birthday gifts or Christmas gifts for kids who read books? For that, we talk to the child again, maybe have the kind of conversation that brings you closer, about his favorite books and maybe about yours too.
