Why I love Counter-Strike/How to play Counter-Strike

Today I like to talk about an integral part of my career in computer science/technology. Unexpectedly, it’s my skill in the game called Counter-Strike. I would like to pass on to my readers my knowledge that helped me to be considered as a kind of “expert” in the field of said game. More than anything, I want to teach you how to be the best at it. Also, I would like to discuss the meaning it has in my life and the potential it has to touch the lives of others as well.

I can’t imagine life without Counter-Strike (specifically version 1.3). Needless to say, you can say I’m nostalgic about it. I heard about the latest version that the creators of Counter-Strike are developing right now, which is Counter-Strike Global Offensive. I can already see the importance of your experience playing Counter-Strike 1.3 in order to become good at the latest version; which can be useful, especially now that in tournaments of these things, you can get something over a million dollars as a prize.

So let’s get to the heart of the matter: how to be good at Counter-Strike 1.3? Number 1, Glitter. Enemies are hard to see at the game’s default brightness. I mean, if you’re not the game server, this is a must (this may seem unnecessary, but believe me it is. It sounds pointless, but it’s not). So, in order to do so, type “map de_dust” in the console. Wait for the console to take you to (guess where) de_dust. Then click ~, and type and enter “brightness 999” at the console. After that, enter “map de_dust” again. Wait until I make you dust again. Right now, it has the perfect glow that will surely help you differentiate someone who is your enemy and friend in the game.

Number 2: Controls. Before you even start playing, go to the controls part. Click Defaults. After that change the way you can buy with F1 instead of B; and how to buy bombs with F4 instead of M. For those of you who are curious, this will allow you to buy weapons, ammo, and bombs faster, making you more efficient in the game. Note that you buy ammunition with F1+6 and F1+7, instead of the alternate version. Trust me on this.

Number 3: Don’t be the server as much as possible. This is quite crucial. The biggest reason is that I couldn’t use technique number 1, which is the glitter part. There is simply no way to do it. Also, if you’re playing in an internet cafe, which is most likely (because that’s the easiest way to play with other people, believe me), you can’t just drop it anytime because you’ll annoy others. Players When you exit the game, other players will also be disconnected from the game. I wouldn’t worry too much about this particular technique, but I thought you should know something about it.

Number 4: choice of weapons. Let’s face the elephant in the room. The single best weapon option for the game is the sniper. Combine it with F1 + 1 pistol and you have a perfect combo. The key here is practice. Train using the sniper to accurately kill enemies as quickly as possible and you’ll always be ready to go. Also, if you’re proficient in using your pistol to kill enemies with headshots, that would be a plus. Not that I’m exaggerating, you can try other weapons, but this would always be the perfect combination.
Number 5: Strategic positioning in the game. It’s about where you go in the game (the path you choose). The trick here is to choose the maximum efficiency. What I mean here is to choose your position in the game to balance your safety and your ability to kill enemies in the best way. The players of this game are very vulnerable. You can literally die in an instant. Protect yourself as much as possible without losing your ability to kill enemies. Since you already picked your perfect gun game, this would be a walk in the park. With a sniper, choose a place where you can use it in a way that you are hidden but at the same time have the vision to hunt down your prey.

Number 6: Map Choice – You only have three options for this: cs_deathmatch, de_dust, de_dust2. Why? It’s really tempting to say just because when you’re already in the game, because that’s the way it is. However, for beginners, it is like this because it would make the game fairer if you know what I mean. There is no special treatment and/or unfair advantage for either team. Therefore, players enjoy the game equally (which is always a good thing).

Needless to say, it has a significant impact on my life. More than anything, he taught me how to be a team player and accept defeat gracefully. It’s a game where you can be yourself, make mistakes, be beaten, or win without pressure or judging. Personally, it’s a good environment to be in a child. It could also increase my technological knowledge. Despite its violent connotation, I do not agree that it has a negative impact on anyone. So far, it hasn’t led me to be violent with other people. On the contrary, it made me more compassionate, warm and social.

I hope this has helped you get better at Counter-Strike. Otherwise, if it made you curious about the game, great! Good luck playing! I promise you it would be worth it. Try it as fast as possible now!
