Why You Should Stay Away From Duplicate Action Figure Toys

The action toy market is growing almost daily. Today, various media franchises use the toy market to increase their profits, and one can find any type of toy figures one wishes. In fact, this market is not only about children, many of the toy models are collector’s items and have considerable value. Due to the incessant demand for toys of all kinds, various unreliable operators are selling low-quality and duplicate toys, which are scams of the original intellectual property. These products are available for a fraction of the price of the original product, but one should stay away from such products. Here are some simple reasons why one should never buy duplicate action figures.

Toys licensed by the original company undergo a strict manufacturing protocol and reach the market only after being tested for safety and other aspects by various national and international organizations. Counterfeit products are not subjected to any of these tests and represent a potential danger to the child. Even when it comes to original toys, they are only suitable for children of certain ages. For example, an action figure with small accessories is a potential choking hazard, and therefore manufacturers put a label on the box that informs the buyer of the choking hazard and the age the toy would be suitable for.

Choking hazards aside, one can never be sure what ingredients the manufacturer has used to make the toy, which is another health hazard for the user. Several ingredients go into the making of the toy, and one must ensure that the paint does not peel, or the material does not flake, or even the accessories do not break into small pieces, greatly diminishing the experience that the user would have.

Last but not least, fake and scammed products come with no warranties or manufacture warranties. There are chances that even the merchant may not know who the actual manufacturer of the product is, so there is little chance that you will get after-sales service if you buy a fake toy such as action figure. A typical toy nowadays is a complicated manufacture, and there is a chance that some part of the device may stop working or break down, and then you have no choice but to throw away the toy and get a new one.

Here are some simple reasons why you should never buy a duplicate action figure. Before you buy an action figure or other toy, check the packaging and other marketing warranties, and look for telltale signs that point to product duplication. You can buy original games and toys at your local supermarket or you can buy them online as many retailers now have websites through which they offer you toys and games at deep discounts.
