You are in competition with yourself when it comes to achieving various things. You may want to achieve something someone else has, or just improve your health in some way. Ultimately, you can only do what you are capable of.

This publication focuses on how to get fit or improve your health in any way if you have a permanent illness or disability. Every disability is different. What will be discussed in principle applies to all of us, whether we are fit and healthy or not.

What you are capable of is limited by how much you practice, learn, work on your diet and fitness, and hone your skills. For most things, health is paramount. The better we feel and can perform, the more likely we are to achieve our goals.

Before any of the above is possible, you must have a good reason to achieve a specific goal. This will put you in the right frame of mind. Reason acts as the fuel to crush your obstacles until you have achieved your goal.

Depending on when you plan to become fitter, stronger, more flexible, able to walk without using a cane, get up from a chair without using any props, easily climb stairs, or others, determine how much effort you need. invest to make this a reality.

Only you know how you feel, and that determines how your health will improve. There are no set exercise routines that fit two people with similar disabilities or permanent illnesses. Every disability is different. Therefore, you are in competition with yourself, not with anyone else.

It can be motivating to try to achieve what someone else has achieved with their condition. Stop comparing yourself to others though, our bodies work differently. Even small physical improvements can mean big positive changes.

Specific muscles may need to be strengthened first before you can begin practicing stair climbing. To successfully climb stairs, your hips must remain strong, your thighs must be strong enough to properly lift your foot onto the next step, and your feet and ankles must support your entire body without leaning to the sides, giving you firm foundation. Use your stronger leg as the lead. Your entire core is engaged when climbing stairs.

It can take a while to prepare your physique for stair climbing. Climbing stairs seems easy and it can be when you are properly prepared. Some people who are out of shape and otherwise healthy find it difficult to climb stairs.

Since each disability is different, you are competing with yourself. Just because it may seem easy to someone, it’s important to remember that we are all unique. Always keep your spirits up and never give up!

Any physical improvement serves as inspiration. Every day may not reveal new successes. Don’t let this discourage you. We are not machines. It takes time for the body to get used to anything new.

There are many reasons why some days can be disappointing. In general, lack of sleep can affect your performance, just like a cold, which we all come down with from time to time.

You are competing with yourself when you try to get physical improvements of any kind. It is a challenge to be responsible with yourself. Reaching a goal requires determination and a strong will. Since every disability is different and everyone is unique, it is necessary to establish an exercise routine that you can stick to. Success is the sum of small efforts.
