This time adding not only the crystals on the bases of your warhammer, but also putting sand and painting it to add more variety. In this article you will learn how to make Warhammer crystals that you can add to your base or on any terrain.

Material’s list

-drinkers

-Paint brush

-sandpaper

-PVA glue (white glue)

-various paintings

Step 1 cutting the sprues

No need to buy sprues at the store, just extra sprues that you may see around your work area. Cut a few small pieces out of them, just make sure they are fairly clean of any markings or numbers that were placed on your sprues. Because the sprues usually appear with it. Crystals with markings on it, especially numbers, will look pretty bad. So just double check the sprues you will be using for your crystals.

Step 2 Sand and shape

Once you have your sprues, start sanding them into crystal shaped pieces. Imagine that you are going to put your sprues on the bases of your warhammer miniature so the size will be quite small.

Step 3 Glue the crystals to the base

When you have your sprues sanded and shaped into crystals, glue a couple of crystals onto random areas of your base or anywhere you like. Crystals that are glued at an angle give the base of your warhammer an extra touch that looks great.

Step 4 Sand glue

Next, brush PVA glue (white glue) over the rest of your warhammer base and sprinkle on fine sand, and then after sprinkling, shake off any excess sand that doesn’t stick to the glue. Then let it dry for a few minutes.

Step 5 Paint crystals

When it’s dry, it’s time to paint your crystals. Start by applying your first color base coat to your crystals. Let’s just use a lichen purple paint so it’s easily recognizable. Next, drybrush with the witchy purple color and then with the tentacle pink color. After dry brushing, leave it a few more minutes to dry, then add a blue wash ink. Be sure to dilute the blue ink, otherwise it will saturate the glass and you won’t have visible undercoats.

Step 6 Paint the sand (optional)

If you have some time left and you still want to add more beauty to your warhammer, you can make this suggestion. You can paint the sand apart from the crystals, for a nice contrast dry brush your sand with Codex Gray paint. Be sure to leave some of the natural color showing. And finish it off by applying a slightly dry brush with some white skull.
