Intelligent Speech – The Product of the Authority of the Word
The Word of God has power. Man, who was created in the image and likeness of God, received the same power from God, his creator. As a result, he has and exercises power of speech or authority, in the same way that his creator does. However, based on the knowledge we have as children of God, it is necessary for us to know or understand that who we are before God is the most important thing to consider when it comes to exercising our authority.
However, Being the right people before God helps us to carry out any task assigned to us, wherever He puts us. At the moment of creation, it is obvious that God made us another spirit along with Him. We resemble God in our ability to speak with authority. The Bible tells us that the Word of God, who is Spirit and life, became physical flesh; likewise, our words have the potential to become a physical reality when spoken in faith.
God created man in His own image and likeness, which implies that the soul of man is part of the essence of God. When God spoke man into existence, he gave him the power of intelligent speech (Genesis 2:7). This power of intelligent speech is what gives his word the ability to become a physical reality when spoken (John 1:14). The Bible confirms this when in Matthew 8:18 it tells us that everything we declare on earth is declared in heaven. This gives man the power of the word authority. By implication, he can “command” God to act on his behalf (Isaiah 45:11).
As king on earth, man decrees a thing and it happens. A man who is aligned with the Word of God has the privilege of commanding one thing, and it is fulfilled (Mark 11:23; Isaiah 43:25-26; Job 22:28). The voice of a man who is in the will of God is such that he attracts God’s attention, keeping the angels on red alert. They are always ready to carry out what he says of the Word (Psalm 103: 20).
When man understands his position in God, as having the authority of the Word, God provides for every demand, occasion and requirement that he has (Philippians 4:19). In other words, knowing that the Word of God is the foundation of everything, the word of man that is aligned according to the Word of God, in that same hand, is translated and manifested in the physical realm. In order for man to enjoy the power of intelligent speech, he must make the Word of God the most important thing in his life, for without the Word, all other intelligent speech is empowered by the flesh!
