Is it a good idea to freeze skin tags or is there a better way to get rid of aggravating skin tags?

I don’t know about you, but I really hate those little skin tags that pop up here and there, and I often wonder if it’s okay to freeze skin tags at home or not. I get so tired looking at them, don’t you? They appear in the most annoying places. For example, I used to have one right in the middle of my forehead and people would constantly tell me that I had a drop of water on my forehead. I was embarrassing.

But people get these things in all sorts of annoying places. They are more common on the neck, eyelids, back, chest, and thighs for some reason. Often they are small but sometimes they are quite large and you end up catching them on things and at that point they are not only embarrassing but also painful.

So I was thinking, why not just freeze them like the procedures done in doctor’s offices? After all, they do sell those mole freezing kits in stores, so it would be really easy to buy one and try it out. It would certainly be better than dealing with these annoying things.

So I decided my son would be the guinea pig and picked up one of the freezing kits at the store. I will say that it was more money than I expected, I think it was about 20 bucks, but still, better than a visit to the doctor, and all for the sake of an experiment.

Followed the instructions but unfortunately it didn’t work. Now, this in no way means that freezing skin tags is not possible, it just means that you may need to have it done by a professional. What I think is that what you can buy over the counter is most likely not strong enough to do the job. I know for a fact that it works if done by a dermatologist, but I’d just like to avoid that cost. I’m sure you would too, but at this time I’m not aware of any DIY freezing kits that will work.
