Monster Energy Drink: tastes just like Red Bull but twice the size

Monster energy drink does its best to be just like Red Bull. The taste is similar, the ingredients are identical, and it is aimed at the male/18-25 demographic. However, they have a clear advantage over Red Bull: quantity. Monster energy drink comes in a monster (pardon the pun) 16 oz. can, while Red Bull only offers 8.3 oz. So basically you get twice the product for the same price ($2 per can).

As stated above, Monster tastes pretty much the same as Red Bull (i.e. carbonated cough syrup). In my experience, the only difference is that Monster has a slightly sweeter aftertaste. This could be due to a higher amount of sugar content.

If you’re not a fan of the high-sugar Monster, they offer a low-sugar/low-carb version (yes, they mimicked Red Bull here, too). This is perfect for anyone on a low sugar/low carb diet. The difference in taste between the regular version and the low sugar/carb version is practically imperceptible.

I personally think Monster is a very good energy drink and definitely gives you the best value for your money.
