The 9 Best Essential Oils I Use for Anxiety

Anxiety of varying degrees has been something I have had to deal with for most of my life. Today there are more factors that contribute to anxiety, especially for highly sensitive people. Technology is a huge contributor to the stress of modern life.

One thing I have turned to is essential oils. I use doTerra oils because I have found them to be of high quality, especially since I use some of them internally. I have studied essential oils with Dr. Josh Ax and am confident in his knowledge on how to use the oils.

The use of essential oils should not replace medical and psychiatric care. So please see your doctor.

I diffuse essential oils (I put a few drops in water in a diffuser and it sends it into the air in a fine mist) and use it on my skin. My skin is not that sensitive so I can use them alone. But if in doubt, do a patch test or use Fractionated Coconut Oil as your base oil and add a drop to test its strength.

Here are my go to oils:

lavender

My go-to oil for calming and calming is always lavender first. Especially at night. I put it on the soles of my feet, and around my temples and neck. I will pass it on too. Lavender is so mild that it can be used on children. I also put some on my pillow.

peace mix

The second oil I use is the Peace blend. It is composed of Vetiver root, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Incense, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Labdanum, Peppermint. It comes in a roolerball with fractionated coconut oil and I slather it around my chest, neck, and wrists.

Pink

doterra rose comes in a rollerball bottle, so it contains fractionated coconut oil. Rose is such an expensive oil that diluting it in a rollerball is an inexpensive way to access it. I do not diffuse anything in a rolling ball bottle.

balance mix

Every morning and throughout the day, I use Balance on the soles of my feet. I also put it around my neck. It is a grounding mix. It consists of fir, Ho wood, frankincense, blue tansy, blue chamomile.

Incense

I take a drop of incense under my tongue every day. He is considered the King of Oils. He crosses the blood brain barrier. He is good at calming the nerves. From time to time I also transmit it.

Peaceful Lavender/Serenity Blend

This oil has a nice calming scent. It’s great for massages. I wear this around my neck or just sniff the bottle. You can also drip a few drops into the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, and place them over your nose and sniff. By the way, smelling therapeutic oils is not just a lovely smell, the droplets travel to the emotional center of the brain. The nose is the fastest way to access this part of the brain. This oil is composed of Lavender, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Ylang Ylang, Hawaiian Sandalwood, Vanilla Absolute.

Clary Calm Blend

I use it when I feel hormonal. It is composed of Clary Sage, Lavender, Bergamot, Roman Chamomile, Cedarwood, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Fennel Seed, Carrot Seed, Palmarosa, Vitex Leaf/Berry.

vetiver

I use this in the bathroom. It’s quite a thick and gluggy oil and I have to get the dropper out and pour a small amount.

roman chamomile

I don’t use it much anymore, but I did. I used to pour the 5ml bottle into a spinner bottle and cover with fractionated coconut oil and rub the soles of my feet at night before bed.

Some other oils you can use for anxiety but not me as I tend to stick with the ones I use most often are: copaiba oil, ylang ylang, lemon balm, juniper berry, bergamot, past tense.

There are many more oils that you can use, but these are the most common oils.
