Mexico fascinates the entire universe! No no no… It’s not what you think… I don’t claim to know everything about Mexico… I think nobody knows everything about Mexico… but I know enough and based on my experiences they have decided to write “Lo mejor de the best of Mexico.
I can start by saying that it is the best and most beautiful beach in Mexico, considering families, lovers of water sports, romantic couples, honeymooners, etc.
Without a doubt, Mexico’s beaches on the Caribbean Sea are the most enchanting, by far! Many of them are impressive, but the Tulum beach attracts even the most demanding tourists. Soft powdery white sand to walk on, the sound of the wind between the palm trees, the turquoise, dark blue and greenish blue waters that blend with the waves that caress the Tulum beach. The archaeological ruins are in a spectacular setting, on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The town of Tulum has some cheap lodging options, as well as some nice ecotourism cabanas for rent along the beach. Tulum is for seekers of ecotourism, romance, and seclusion.
Speaking of this part of Mexico, we cannot ignore the Riviera Maya! The Riviera Maya is the “ace up the sleeve” of Mexico! If you are looking for a lot of scenic beauty, the Riviera Maya has it all. Its pleasant climate and beautiful beauty make it a perfect vacation and travel destination for everything you are looking for! Yes, it is a multiple vacation destination because, beyond the infinity of tourist attractions, the Riviera Maya includes; Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Puerto Aventuras, Akumal and Tulum. Cancun is famous for its nightlife and is considered the “Water Sports Capital” (great for spring breakers and luxury travel seekers), Isla Mujeres for getaways, Puerto Morelos for its comfortable and intimate accommodations, Playa del Carmen for its family hotels and all inclusive resorts located on wonderful beaches, Puerto Aventuras for romance, Cozumel and Akumal for divers, and Tulum… well… you know!

If, on the other hand, your idea was to discover and see with your own eyes wonderful, primitive and uncontaminated places, I have to tell you about Chiapas… Lakes, rivers and waterfalls (many of which can be visited thanks to local groups) are everywhere ; a green carpet covers most of the Chiapas territory, faithful testimony of the rich fertile land. The cloud forest of Chiapas, in southern Mexico, has rare and ancient tropical flowering plants and an incredible variety of flora and fauna. Misol-Ha, Agua Azul and El Chiflón are the most amazing waterfalls in Chiapas… (Must-see attractions/Lake Montebello) Also, Chiapas has some of the most fascinating Mayan archaeological sites in Mexico, such as Palenque, Bonampak, Yaxchilan, Chinkultic , Toniná , Izapa, Tenam Puente!
Speaking of archaeological sites in Mexico, the most famous is Chichen Itza (one of the seven wonders of the world), near Merida, strategically located in the center of the Yucatan Peninsula. Most of the ancient cities of the pre-Columbian civilization are still covered by the jungle, the “excavation work” to bring to light these historical witnesses is very long, but some important centers have been partially restored and ready to receive tourism from the everyone!
And if we’re talking about Mexican history, well, we’re going to keep talking about history… The colonial view of Mexico is very intriguing. Some of Mexico’s destinations were built by the Spanish who came to this land years and years ago. Colonial architecture included the cities of San Miguel de Allende (the city of the artist), Guanajuato, Mérida, Morelia (pink stone buildings, polished stone streets, majestic aqueduct and an extraordinary number of museums to entertain), Zacatecas (ancient Silver Mining cities), Querétaro (one of those magical places that surely catches your heart), Oaxaca (you have not really seen Mexico, until you have visited this city)…
Please stop me because I will continue describing everything in Mexico and then you will have something to see and discover……. That can’t be possible anyway, I’m just kidding!
