Worgen Race gives fresh fangs to the Alliance in Cataclysm

Ladybugs Doers of good. Aspiring heroes. These are just a few of the shots that target the Alliance faction in World of Warcraft. Most of these insults come from the rival Horde faction, who just can’t help it. But how can we blame them?

Most of the Alliance races simply lack that raw and savage advantage found between the orcs and the undead of the Horde. Pink-haired girl gnomes, for example, are too cute to inspire fear on a battlefield. Luckily for the Alliance, their savage credibility is about to level up as the Worgen race joins the Alliance faction in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion.

Unstable, aggressive and capable of lethal force, the Worgens are wolf-like humanoids summoned to Azeroth in a past war. His curse of lycanthropy eventually spread throughout the human nation of Gilneas, infecting most of the population.

The people of Gilneas tried to contain the curse by isolating themselves behind the Greymane Wall. But a global disaster and an invasion by the undead of the Horde will force Gilneas to harness his worgen power, if only to secure his place in the world.

In the game, worgen have excellent prowess in battle as seen in their racial combat skills. One of them is Darkflight, which accelerates movement speed by 70% for a short time and is perfect for hunting fleeing mobs or Horde players.

Aberration is a passive ability that reduces the duration of curses and diseases, making them harsher against users of dark arts such as warlocks. Also sure to be a PvP favorite is the Viciousness racial trait which gives a total 1% bonus to all Worgen damage.

The Worgens are also visually imposing, with the second largest avatars of the Alliance faction, right behind the Draenei race. With all the worgen are bringing to the table, the Horde will now have to risk their neck – and risk taking a nasty bite! – when he disparages his Alliance rivals.
